“The Chief Way”: Caring for the Community of which we are a Part of
Commitment to our social responsibility

Proactively contributing to the local community and helping the less fortunate is also a major component of our mission. We deliver on this promise by enthusiastically supporting various good causes through donations and encouraging our staff to join a wide range of volunteer services.

In 2008, we sponsored the “Get In Gear, Volunteers 2008” scheme, jointly organized by the Lion Rock Junior Chamber and the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. Our colleagues also supported this initiative by giving up their spare time to serve as voluntary workers, visiting Geri-care centers, Ronald McDonald House and joining Children’s Day at Ocean Park, etc.

We also contribute to help the needy in Mainland China. Understanding education remains the key to a society’s prosperity development, we are opening up educational opportunities for Mainland children by sponsoring the construction of schools in underfunded areas such as Guizhou, Hunan, Neimenggu and Santou. Immediately after the great Sichuan earthquake of 2008, we and our staff also pitched in to help the Red Cross and made sizeable donations to help victims of the disaster.
