Daily Leveraged Certificates (DLCs)
Regardless of a bull or a bear market, Daily Leverage Certificates (DLCs) offer investors fixed leverage of up to 7 times of the daily performance of the underlying asset (e.g. market indices or single stocks). The basic principle is simple – if the underlying asset moves by 1% from its closing price of the previous trading day, the value of a 3x DLC will move by 3% and that of a 7x DLC will move by 7%.

Advantages
  • Fixed leverage of up to 7 times both long and short
  • Low capital outlay and loss limited to invested amount
  • No margin
  • No hidden volatility impacts
  • No time decay impact
  • Transparent pricing and structure
Stock
A stock is a type of security which represents a fractional ownership of a company in proportional to the total number of shares. Investing in stocks allows an investor to participate in the growth of a company. A stock is typically regarded as a liquid asset, as it trades publicly with price transparency on a stock exchange, allowing investors to make a profit by buying/selling stocks.
American Depositary Receipt (ADR)
SGX offers ADR trading via GlobalQuote. An ADR is a depositary receipt issued by a U.S. financial institution and represents indirect ownership of shares in a company. You can buy and sell ADRs at foreign companies through a regular stock brokerage account in Singapore.
Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT)
Assets of REITs are professionally managed, and revenues generated from the assets (primarily rental income) usually are distributed at regular intervals to investors. REITs allow investors to access real property assets and share the benefits and risks of owning a portfolio of properties. Units of REITs are bought and sold like other securities listed on SGX at market-driven prices.
Structured Warrants
Structured warrants offer investors an alternative instrument to participate in the price performance of an underlying asset at a fraction of the underlying asset price. They can also be used as hedging tools to reduce or diversify investors’ portfolio risks. Structured warrants have a limited lifespan and if they are not exercised, it will become worthless on the expired date (please refer to “the structured warrants guide section” on “Exercise Style” under “Key Features of Structured Warrants”). Structured warrants are different from company warrants which are issued by a listed company to raise funds for the company and give the shareholder(s) the right to subscribe for or buy one share of that company.
There are two types of warrants:

1) Subscription warrant
A bullish view of the underlying asset (i.e., the investor believes that the price of the underlying asset will rise).
2) Put warrants
A bearish view of the underlying asset (i.e., the investor believes that the price of the underlying asset will fall).
Leveraged and Inverse Products (L&I Products)
A Leveraged Product is a product that uses financial derivatives to amplify the returns of an underlying index. These products aim to keep a constant daily amount of leverage during the investment time frame, such as 2x or 3x. An Inverse Product is a product that uses financial derivatives to provide inverse returns of an underlying index. These products tend to have a constant amount of leverage, such as, -1x, -2x or -3x.
Exchange Traded Fund (ETF)
ETFs are open-ended investment funds listed and traded on a stock exchange. They aim to track the performance of an underlying index (like the Straits Times Index) or asset class (like commodities).
